A journey of such magnitude can only be achieved by someone who loves driving… Jaime Fernando himself has been to 60 different countries and has driven a car in 29 of them… Claudia, though she drives as well, loves being a passenger so this makes it a perfect couple!

This couple hold British passports and live in Europe which means they can stay in the US for a maximum of 6 months a year. They have set a few rules for this adventure….

• No rush! No timetable… just take it easy on the driving
• Do 2 trips a year from Europe, 10 to 12 weeks at a time
• Avoid driving at night and avoid Interstate highways and rather use national highways to get to know the country better
• They will follow a route which provides an optimum trajectory with stops in every state. They will add more points of interest as required along the road.
• Mila ( their pet, a Cocker Spaniel) will join them in the adventure.
• As their legacy to the environment, they will plant 1 tree in each state (and another in Canada); that is 50 trees planted along the way! to offset the pollution created by the Diesel engine of “Scotty”.

Last but not least, try to play at least a round of golf in each state (Jaime F. has done it in 18 different countries).
